ACO Tech and Deutsche Telekom IoT Sign MoC to Explore International Connected Vehicle Opportunities

Kuala Lumpur, 3 November 2026 – As automotive manufacturers expand connected vehicle programmes into new markets, managing connectivity across countries and networks is becoming increasingly important. ACO Tech and Deutsche Telekom IoT GmbH, part of Deutsche Telekom Group, have signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) to explore potential cooperation in international automotive connectivity.

As one of the pioneering smart mobility providers in Southeast Asia, ACO Tech oversees a network of over 500,000 active connected vehicles – one of the largest networks of connected vehicles in the region. Meanwhile, Deutsche Telekom IoT provides secure, reliable and scalable IoT connectivity solutions worldwide. With an extensive global network of more than 600 roaming partners across 188 destinations, Deutsche Telekom IoT enables automotive manufacturers and mobility providers to stay connected across international markets.

Through the MoC, ACO Tech and Deutsche Telekom IoT aim to explore how Deutsche Telekom IoT’s international connectivity and connected-car services, including SIM and eSIM solutions, could complement ACO Tech’s automotive hardware and software ecosystem. This potential cooperation could help automotive manufacturers simplify cross-border connectivity planning and support the development of connected vehicle services across international markets, with the potential to enable more consistent digital experiences for drivers.

As an initial area for evaluation, the cooperation may include potential connectivity opportunities involving Geely, alongside other automotive customers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

The MoC was officially signed by Dr. Li Pu, Chief Executive Officer of ACO Tech, and Benjamin Bastians, Chief Commercial Officer of Deutsche Telekom IoT.

“Connectivity is becoming an increasingly important part of the modern driving experience. This global trend has created a bridge between the automotive and telecommunications sectors, opening up new opportunities for collaboration across industries. On this note, we look forward to exploring how the unique strengths of ACO Tech and Deutsche Telekom IoT can complement one another, broaden our market reach and unlock new possibilities for connected mobility across international markets,” said Dr. Li Pu, Chief Executive Officer of ACO Tech.

“As automotive manufacturers expand into new markets, they need connectivity that can support vehicles across different countries and networks. By exploring how our international IoT connectivity and connected-car services can complement ACO Tech’s automotive technology solutions, we aim to help manufacturers simplify cross-border connectivity planning and build a foundation for scalable digital experiences for drivers,” said Benjamin Bastians, Chief Commercial Officer of Deutsche Telekom IoT.

The signing of the MoC marks a step towards closer engagement between ACO Tech and Deutsche Telekom IoT, establishing a framework to explore potential areas of cooperation and future business opportunities. The collaboration reflects the shared interest of both companies in exploring new approaches to vehicle connectivity and expanding the possibilities of smart mobility.
